Healthy Snicker Bar Slice

In case any of you guys missed this amazing Snicker Bar Slice on my old blog I wanted to share it again because raw desserts are the best. They are simple yet so satisfying. And unlike the traditional Snickers Bar from the shops which are full of sugar, these guys are refined sugar free, gluten free and dairy free.

Ingredients:

The Base:

  • 1 cup of medjool dates, seeds removed
  • 1 cup of raw cashews
  • 1/2 teaspoon concentrated natural vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

The Middle:

  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • pinch of salt

The Top Layer:

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 4 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 tsp. coconut nectar or rice malt syrup

Instructions:

  1. Place all the base ingredients into your food processor and blend until smooth and well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into and silicon loaf pan. You can line the pan with baking paper overhanging the sides for easy removal. Place in the fridge.
  3. meanwhile place the cashews and salt into your food processor and quickly pulse to roughly crush the cashews.
  4. Sprinkle the cashews and salt evenly over your base layer and firmly press them down. Return the slice to the fridge.
  5. Next combine the top layer ingredients together in a blender or food processor until you have a smooth chocolate.
  6. Spread the chocolate over your second layer. Return to the fridge for several hours to set.
  7. Once set gently remove the slice from the pan.
  8. Slice, eat and enjoy!

  1. You can make this into a cake, cupcakes, bar or slice.
