Steph is an amazing driven women, she is a full time model as well as a #girlboss running her empire Keeping It Clean with bestie Laura Henshaw. To Steph this means keeping a well balanced clean life and thriving over depriving.

Tell us a little about your journey and who you are?
Well I am a goofball. And a full time model, who has somehow managed to gain nearly a million followers over the years, and I've now seen the advantage of that and tried to use it in a positive way. I've done this by creating a healthy eating ebook with my best mate Laura, to promote our healthy and balanced diets which people were always asking about! The book went really well and we have now created a website so that we can be a lot more hands on, creating new recipes and content all the time. I'm really excited about my journey that's still to come, both in my keep it cleaner business and my modeling career.
What is your health and wellness philosophy?
Not to deprive yourself of anything. And balance is key. Learn how to treat yourself in moderation. As long as you're fueling your body with the correct nutrition most of the time, and exercising regularly, then it's totally cool to treat yourself now and then! As soon as you start being too strict, you'l get some what depressed from the feeling of 'missing out' and you're then in the risk of totally binging out when those treats are in front of you. As much as nutrition is essential.. Happiness is essential too, which is why it's important to treat yourself.
When it come to your health, what are your ‘non negotiables’?
Fruit. I can't live without it. Someone once told me to strip all sugar from my diet, including natural sugars like fruit... Couldn't do it.
I love ‘Keep It Cleaner’ and everything you girls stand for. What does ‘clean’ eating mean to you?
Eating clean means eating as much unprocessed foods as possible. It means cooking from scratch, and rarely eating anything out of a packet with ingredients you've never heard of.
What does a typical day look like on your plate?
Brekkie: usually something sweet, people who follow me on snapchat would know by now that I would have an acai bowl nearly 5 days of the week haha. Otherwise a green smoothie with banana and almond milk or some berries, nuts and yoghurt.
Lunch: some kind of salad. Favourite greens is spinach, then I'd go for a protein like chicken or lamb, then more texture from things like almonds and quinoa, and finished with avo, goats cheese and chili on top.
Dinner: protein with veggies, or a zoodle pasta dish, or a stir fry! With just a little bit of Tamari, Tumeric, chili and lemon
Dessert: peppermint tea with one or two pieces of 85% dark choc or a frozen date with almond butter
I believe that how you spend the first 80 minutes of your day sets up how the rest of your day will flow. Tell us about your ideal way to spend the first 80 minutes of your day?
Totally. Well the first thing I do after kissing my man Goodmorning is check my phone for any emails or messages - I'm one of those people that has to get things done and out of the way and responded to straight away otherwise it won't get done. After that I go and make myself breakfast, because without it, I'm a grump. And it has to be filling and nutritious... Otherwise you're just setting your day up to be a long tiresome one.
For all those out there that are wanting to get moving or haven’t quite found their fitness routine yet, what tips would you recommend?
Mix it up! As much as I have a routine, I only stay interested because I do a mixture of things ...
I power walk, I do pilates, and I go to the gym... If I was doing just one of those things I probably wouldn't be motivated to keep going back. I suppose the best advice would be the old saying "the only workout you will regret is the one you didn't do"
What is the single best thing you believe someone should do to get their health and wellness journey started?
First of all decide that you're doing it for yourself, and not for anyone else. If you're going to be committed, it's going to be because it's something you genuinely want to do and you will in turn see all the amazing side effects that exercise and nutrition has on not only your body, but your skin, energy and mood too.
