Hottest Brunch Spots in Melbourne

Hottest Brunch Spots in Melbourne

If you asked me what I have been up to lately, my answer would be EATING! We are only a few weeks in to living in our new home in Melbourne and boy am I making the most of it. As much as I adored our quiet beach life, it's nice to have a change of scenery and be back in the hustle and bustle of Melbourne. We are surrounded by amazing and healthy cafes and restaurants. So here are my top picks (in no particular order.)

Dumbo

Dumbo Cafe is located in West Footscray and has been no stranger to the media. You may have read amazing reviews about the food, atmosphere and staff and I can happily tell you it is all true. Their menu changes seasonally and the coffee is amazing. I'm a big fan of the Chilli Scrambled Eggs.

The Pantry

The Pantry has become a go to lunch spot when we have a few hours to kill between clients and the weather is on point. With a large outdoor seating area, it is the perfect spot to soak up some Vitamin D. My favourite is definitely the Brown Rice Poke Bowl.

Minanoie

This cafe is maybe one of the cutest places on earth. The menu is organic focused japenese food. The flavours are incredible and you can honestly feel the love that has been put into every dish that is brought out. Try the 'My Lunch Bowl' and let the flavours do the talking.

The Palour Kitchen

The Palour was the half way point between mine and a girlfriends house. We would meet here for breakfast and more often than not that would turn to lunch too. It quickly became a favourite of mine. It is a family ran cafe, with such a beautiful comfortable space. You honestly feel like you can sit here all day. Try the Breakfast bruschetta or the Semolina calamari.

Higher Ground

All I can say is Higher Ground has never let me down. The food is incredible and the coffee, well the take away line up speaks for its self. They have baristas and a take away bar outside the venue as well as another inside the venue. You may need to wait 5 - 10 min to be seated (no matter what day you go) but it's worth it. Try the Polenta Porridge, Avocado seed crackers or Steamed barramundi.

This place is always my go to when I feel a cold coming on, it is the perfect place for a massive Vitamin C hit. My go to is always the Paleo smoothie bowl, Snickers smoothie bowl, or the Mexican bowl.
