2017: That's a wrap!

2017: That's a wrap!

Wow what a year it's been. As 2017 is coming to an end, I can't help but to sit back and reflect on what has been a huge year, both professionally and personally.

I am a big believer in celebrating all things. So before we move into 2018, I wanted to share my most memorable moments for both Freedom Wellness (FW) and for me personally. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you amazing Free Birds for supporting everything FW is about. Without you all FW would not exist.

January:

Mac and I began our year sailing and camping around the islands of Belize and eating our way up the coast of Mexico. This was a beautiful way to start the year, set our intentions, goals and visualise what we wanted for our life.

April:

I qualified from an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine. Wow what a relief and an accomplishment. Little did I know the studies weren't over yet (I'll explain in the month of November.)

May:

FW heads back to my home town of Yarrawonga and we start practising Nutrition there once a month. This was an amazing time to reconnect back with my hometown and spend time with Mum and Dad, whilst helping people with their health and wellness journeys.

June:

I was lucky enough to do a photoshoot with the very talented Marnie Hawson in preparation for the new FW website. This was such a fun day.

Recipes: Saute Cashew Chicken , Brain Boosting Bliss Balls

July:

Freedom Wellness gets a total make over. Our new website was launched, with additional services such as Nutritional Consultations now being available online.

August:

Up until now I had been working in a local health food store. This was an amazing job through out my studies, as it allowed me to be surrounded by products and people in need of health and wellness advice. August was the month FW (and Freedom Spices) became my number one priority and income.

FW heads into Vida Lifestyles in Sandringham to practise Nutrition. This was a dream job for me. The people, the practise members, the space, the Vida vibe. I honestly couldn't ask for a more vibrant, happier place to go to work every day in.

November:

I head back to University to study a Bachelor in Naturopathy. I'm so excited, one more year until I am a qualified Naturopath too.

Mac and I also took a sneaky trip to Bali for a little rest and recharge and we fell in love. The food, the people, the places, the smells. Take me to Bali any day!
